“Just as in the smog of the 1950’s, air pollution in London today is literally killing Londoners. But unlike the smoky pollution of the past, today’s pollution is a hidden killer"

- Sadiq Khan

This billboard series hit up some of London’s most polluted streets in August 2016 and was active in boosting a trend of billboard and outdoor campaign posters targeting the cities toxic air quality. Billboards from Greenpeace and posters by Friends of The Earth followed, and we’re proud to have raised a loud voice in our movement.

About the Project:

The campaign images were created by Vasilisa Forbes and Claire Matthews with a host of young, London-based volunteers, creating the entire campaign on support in-kind and non-profit donation.

The posters encourage 15-35 year olds to start campaigning for positive environmental change in London and across the UK, by targeting younger city members with a visual edge not previously seen in public campaigning and environmental activism.

The billboards and social content urge viewers to share their experiences of pollution in the city, and reach out to their MP’s for positive, environmental change.
